the holidays & walter mitty spoiler

when sean the photographer (from walter mitty) finally has the elusive snow leopard in front of his lens, walter asks,
"when are you going to take the picture"
to which sean responds,
"sometimes a moment is so beautiful that i don't want to ruin it."

the holidays were so beautiful that i couldn't get myself to pull out my camera because i was enjoying being in the moment. so here's a picture of my baby sister holding a teeny tiny gingerbread house & i will leave it at that (for now) ;)

    1. & i think it's okay to feel that way. because, you know, we'll have memories for the rest of our lives. do i really want all of my memories to be of the back of a camera?

  2. yes! yes! yes! that movie was beyond good...especially that quote. brilliant.

i did the same thing this year. in fact, i didn't even bring my camera with me at all. being in the moment is much more enjoyable that documenting it. :)
